Check out our amazing projects on Ancient Egypt. We're so sorry you can't come in and see all our brilliant projects but look at our poster projects and constructions. The children were so creative using sponges, wood, cardboard, balloons and papier maché and even bread to recreate pyramids and sarcophagus.
During the month of November we were learning all about Ancient Egypt. We learned about the Ancient tombs, Tutankhamun's tomb and the pyramids. This month we are busy working on our projects on Ancient Egypt. They are due December 4th and we'll have a fun day presenting our projects that day. We wrote our names in hieroglyphics, made mummified cats and created Egyptian pyramid silhouettes. Check out our mummified apple experiment. We mummified half an apple in a cup full of salt and baking soda. This was our natron. We left the other half uncovered in another cup. After two weeks check out our result below. The mummified half had shrunk and turned black as the natron had drawn out any water from the apple.
